Leadwork is still used on many of the UK’s residential and commercial buildings, and is incredibly strong and durable, boasting an enviable record of longevity. Although lead is a traditional material it is still widely used on most roofs and our operatives have the skills required to install not only lead flashings and valleys but also lead roofs.

At L G Cooper we have tradesmen who are fully trained and qualified to carry out all forms of lead work. We install new flashings to chimneys, form new valleys and replace ridge and hip flashings. We also have the facility and skills to make lead flashings for pipe collars and vents which can be manufactured by our tradesmen at our workshop. We can also replace entire roofs, mainly flat roofs, with lead roofs in various forms and styles.

Available in a variety of different styles and weights, lead is an expensive product, but is often the best option for a particular style and age of building.

Our leadwork can also be put to good use on a variety of other surfaces and areas. For instance, our lead can be used in guttering or flashings and even as a bridge at awkward junctions between roofs and walls.
